The LOCROS Lift Scheme works took place from 2016 to 2019 across three London rail stations; Maryland, Manor Park and Seven Kings. Our client was tasked with delivering step-free access and enhancing the overall customer experience at all three stations, designing, manufacturing and installing nine lifts, new raised walkways and general refurbishments whilst ensuring that all three stations remained operational throughout the duration of the works.
As a Framework labour supplier to Hochtief, Hercules supplied labour to the project throughout its entire duration, supplying well over 150 highly skilled, experienced and PTS qualified workers across a variety of trades and skillsets, including Electricians, Steel Fixers, Carpenters, Gangers, Multi-Skilled Operatives, various Plant Operatives, Traffic Marshalls and Groundworkers.
Throughout the duration of the project, we ensured that 100% compliance was maintained both with our client’s strict requirements and with the requirements for PTS. Our dedicated Rail Operations and Resource Teams worked closely with the site team to ensure that all labour requirements were met quickly and efficiently, often fulfilling short notice requests and enabling our client to fulfil their schedule of works.
Being able to work closely with our clients and adapt to their ever-changing needs is a major strength of Hercules and demonstrates that not only do we deliver highly trained, skilled workers from areas local to projects, but that we are an innovative, collaborative organisation who operate to the highest industry standards.
In order to ensure that our client was able to meet their obligation to keep each station operational, we worked closely with them to deliver periods of 24-hour working. In order to achieve this, we developed our own Fatigue Management System in our bespoke Recruitment & Personnel Management System. By working collaboratively with our client, building a deep understanding of the fatigue requirements for PTS workers and utilising our experience across a wide range of industry sectors, we were able to efficiently manage our workforce throughout these periods of 24-hour working achieving 100% in our RISQs audits in the process.
