The Crossrail West Stations Work Package 3 project was carried out between 2019 and 2021, and was designed to enhance and improve access to three stations on the Paddington to Reading line as part of the Crossrail scheme.
The works involved the installation of new access for all bridges, new station buildings, and modifications to Southall, West Drayton and Hayes & Harlington stations, including new lift shafts, stairways, and platform works.
As Hochtief’s Framework labour supplier, Hercules supplied labour to the project throughout its entire duration over all sites, supplying up to 60 highly skilled, experienced and PTS qualified workers across a variety of trades and skillsets, including Electricians, Steel Fixers, Carpenters, Gangers, Multi-Skilled Operatives, various Plant Operatives, Traffic Marshalls and Groundworkers.
Hercules supported our client in the run up to the crucial Christmas 2019 possession, meeting all labour requirements quickly and efficiently, often fulfilling short notice requests and enabling our client to deliver the works according to plan.
Our experienced Rail Operations and Resource Teams worked closely with the site team to deliver periods of 24-hour working, utilising our Fatigue Management System to ensure the fatigue requirements for PTS workers were efficiently managed throughout these periods of 24-hour working, consistently achieving 100% in our RISQS audits.
