As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re introducing some of the promising apprentices shaping the future of Hercules.
What got you interested in an apprenticeship at Hercules?
I knew I wanted more office experience; I’d done work experience in an office for a science magazine and wanted to continue with something similar. I wasn’t keen on attending uni, so I sought an apprenticeship. I didn’t know what to expect. But it’s all been really positive!
What have you found the most rewarding whilst working for Hercules?
The people are very welcoming! Everyone has made it such a positive experience, I didn’t really know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations.
What’s been your favourite thing about your apprenticeship?
Mixing studying with work. Meeting peers on the same apprenticeship and its very well-supported programme. I have regular coach meetings which is really helpful.
What’s been the most challenging thing?
A big adjustment to school! I finished my A Levels in June and started in July, the workplace Is very different to anything that I’ve experienced before.
What are your hobbies in your spare time?
Figure skating on the weekends and learning languages. At the moment I’m learning some Italian, as I’ll be holidaying there later in the year! I write stories and listen to a lot of music.
Well-being at work tip?
