Job Overview
Hercules Site Services PLC is seeking a professional proactive and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to support our ongoing growth in the UK construction and infrastructure sectors. This is a senior role reporting to the Operations Director with targeted approach to develop relationships in identified new clients and promote Hercules in specific vertical sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, preferably existing established relationships and a passion for delivering success.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish partnerships with identified new clients where Hercules has no relationship
- Develop the relationship for Hercules to be the partner of choice
- Map out and understand the key sectors for growth in the infrastructure market
- Track emerging markets and trends
- Maintain a senior relationship (Director Level) in the above new clients as well as a list of existing clients
- Build cross functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth
- Research, propose and develop strategic partnerships
Experience
- Proven experience in business development within the construction or infrastructure sectors
- Established relationships with top UK Tier 1 construction companies
- Strong understanding of the UK infrastructure market and outlook for the future

This is a role with time spent working predominantly within the Purchase Ledger but with scope to assist across all transactional areas of the business as required by the business.

Hercules has grown significantly in recent years and has approximately 1,000 people
working within the business, comprising employees and contractors and a current turnover of c.£84m.
The growth in the business requires additional support for our finance functions.
Job Purpose:
This is a role with time spent working predominantly within the Purchase Ledger but with
scope to assist across all transactional areas of the business as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing of purchase invoices.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Processing of employee expenses
- Processing of credit card expenditure.
- Producing weekly payment runs.
- Maintain accurate up to date supplier records
- Posting of Other bank transactions.
- Assisting with supplier queries.
- Processing of all Credit Card transactions
- Assist with improving and documenting all transactional processes
- Working closely with other peers, Accounts Receivable Controller, the Transactions Manager and the Financial Controller to assist in any ad-hoc duties
Qualifications, experience and characteristics:
- IT and Excel Skills
- Must be numerate, literate and have good communication skills
- Ability to manage your own time.
- Driven to ensure tasks are seen through to completion.
- For the right candidate this role could be an apprenticeship allowing for the study of
AAT.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Research Analyst to support our acquisition strategy and provide key insights into market trends, competitors, and potential business opportunities. This role will focus on researching acquisition targets, identifying new sectors for expansion, tracking competitors, and identifying potential new clients. The ideal candidate will have strong research and analytical skills and a keen interest in understanding market dynamics across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:

Working with both the HR and Operations team, the successful applicant will join a growing and successful business with this role focussing on supporting the administration process for labour provision nationwide, to our leading blue-chip clients within the construction industry.
Duties will be incredibly important and will support the day to day running of the business and will have a direct effect on the organisations productivity and success.
We are looking for a determined, organised individual with a good sense of humour and able to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- General HR admin relating to operatives e.g. RTW checks/chasing missing RTW, contracts, chasing references, uploading scans and inductions
- Sending correspondence letters to operatives e.g. employment letters, rate change letters
- Working from HR portal to ensure up to date databases
- Answering incoming query calls from operatives
- Liaising between ops & other departments
- Maintaining and updating spreadsheets
- Using PowerBI to export reports
- Ensure payroll runs smoothly with new starters and weekly operatives
- Assist payroll department with timesheet queries
- Completing weekly paperwork/forms for ops managers
