The works involved the construction of a 4m deep sheet piled cofferdam and a sequenced build to provide temporary support to the existing main.
The installation of the new pipework was successfully completed in an 8-hour shut down of the process. A water retaining RC box around the new bypass was completed, with a large concrete kiosk base at ground level along with associated concrete roads and footpaths.
